My Rose Colored Glasses Are Off.

What does that mean? It means I’ve seen the light. I am no longer tied to any MLM (multi level marketing) Company. It took a while to see the light but I’m so glad I am finally ACTUALLY free.
I’m not exactly sure what was the turning point, but I remember going down a rabbit hole of anti mlm videos on youtube. CC Suarez was the first one I watched and every other one that I watched it was like my mind exploded. Everything they were saying, happened in the one(s) that I was in. I’ve been in 7 MLM Companies but the last one, Pure Romance was the longest, a little over 3 years. I enrolled in March 2018 and became inactive in December of 2021 if I remember correctly. I didn’t keep track of specific dates as I have two kids and my brain was mush at that point.
In 2020 when the pandemic started Pure Romance went from in home parties to online of course because no one wanted to have in home parties. I had tried online parties via Facebook and they weren’t successful no matter how hard I had “hostess coached.” When I asked for tips on how to make them better, more interactive it all came down to hostess coaching and what I didn’t do, but in reality I was hostess Coaching to the best that I was taught. I was also pregnant so I decided to just sell the product and not do online parties or home parties. Let me tell you, you CAN NOT make a lot of money JUST selling the products. The real money is in recruiting. With recruiting you get team bonus and other bonus’ depending on how many people you have on your downline. (aka pyramid)

There is so much gaslighting and manipulating that goes on in MLM’s that most (including me) don’t see until after they are out.
99% of people who join an MLM LOSE money according to the FTC.
People trying to recruit you will tell you things you want to hear picking on your pain points. If you’re a single mom wanting extra income they will tell you that you can make an extra $500 a month. But what they don’t tell you is that you need to invest IN product to make money. So that $500 a month extra is not “extra” income. The average Pure Romance Partner makes $111 A YEAR. That is on the income disclosure statement FROM Pure Romance’s website.
I advise anyone looking to join an MLM, to get their income disclosure statement from the company and ask the person recruiting them for a profit and loss statement as well from them. If they don’t have that, run. Or just run in general.
